#PatientsEU2024
Patients as Partners Europe Demonstrated:
• How pharma and biotech companies can have a fully integrated approach to patient engagement
• An understanding on what the highest impact activities are to speed up medicine development
• Embedding patient engagement, diversity and access early in clinical research
• Multicultural aspect of patient engagement programs
• Collaboration, transparency and partnerships
Why now?
It is essential to understand how patient involvement in clinical research can accelerate medicine development, how it can improve better access, inclusivity and diversity. The medicine development community is figuring out how patient data is being used and must find solutions to return data back to patients. The R&D industry is also grappling with an understanding of how patient involvement can help advance sustainable clinical development? It is important to demonstrate the value of patient engagement in clinical trials and to know what’s on the regulatory landscape.

What to Expect
The 8th annual #PatientsEU2024 conference offered an unparalleled opportunity to hear from pharma R&D and patient advocacy together on how patient involvement gets done to drive greater efficiencies in clinical research with better outcomes. The conference prioritized the patient voice for the R&D industry to learn how we can move into the next phase of patient centricity to better support access and decision-making for patients, increase diverse representation to connect with a wide range of patient communities, and how this transformation will make finding clinical research easier for patients and allow for faster and more efficient clinical development.
